I am trying to drag down the volume of the entire song a few db. How do I drag down the automation volume for all the tracks at once equally? Within that there is automation for the Kick , snare , etc. Any ideas for a simple drag down without ruining the vibe of the song?

I guess I'll have to adapt to Logic's way of working. OMA The idea is that you are automating the output gain of a plugin instead of the gain of the track itself, allowing you to use the slider. I'd recommend using the Gain plugin, found under Utility, as that shouldn't affect anything else about the track a lot of plugins can change the tonal quality of the track.
If you're not familiar with automating anything other than track volume, you can access this from the automation view. When it says "Main: Volume", click to open the dropdown. You should see each plugin shown there and you would just go into the Gain plugin and select Gain to choose that parameter to automate.
